To start an OsmoPrep, please discontinue taking aspirin, ibuprofen, Coumadin, Plavix, Celebrex or any other blood thinner, iron medications or multivitamins with iron 5-7 days beforehand. Three days before the procedure, please stop eating raw vegetables, any food with seeds, popcorn, nuts and stop taking fiber supplements. The day before the procedure, you will be on a clear liquid diet, and you will need to drink 8 oz. glasses of pulp-free orange juice during the day. Starting at 5:00 p.m., there are strict dosing instructions. You will need to take three OsmoPrep tablets with 8 oz. of clear liquid every 15 minutes. On the day of the procedure, you will resume a second dosing regimen 3-5 hours before the procedure.
