To begin a MoviPrep, you will need to discontinue taking aspirin, ibuprofen, Coumadin, Plavix, Celebrex or any other blood thinner, iron medications or multivitamins with iron 5-7 days beforehand. Before you stop taking your prescribed medication, please check with your doctor first.
Three days before the procedure, please stop eating raw vegetables, any food with seeds, popcorn, nuts and stop taking fiber supplements.
The day before the procedure, you will be on a clear liquid diet, and you will need two Dulcolax or Bisacodyl 5 mg laxative tablets and your filled prescription of MoviPrep. Please take the tablets at 5:00 p.m. and drink the MoviPrep solution at 7:00 p.m.
On the day of the procedure, five hours beforehand, you will drink another mixture of MoviPrep.
