There are many restrictions you must adhere to before proceeding with a capsule endoscopy. For 5-7 days beforehand, please do not take any iron medications or multivitamins with iron.
On the day before the procedure, you will need to be on a clear liquid diet after lunch until 10 p.m. After 10 o'clock, you may not eat or drink anything.
There are other rules you must follow until four hours after the insertion of the capsule.
